Concerning levels of sickness and diarrhoea
4.0It should have been a lovely break, big airy rooms with sea views. Grand hotel with a lovely location, however we travelled with an RSD tour and about half of our group got sick with vomiting and diarrhoea. I know that about a third of the other group were sick too. I was ill as soon as I got home. We had been travelling around Turkey for the first week and no one was ill then, only once we got to the Aria Claros. The dolmosh mini buses are great for getting about and stop outside the hotel, cheap to get to Ephesus, Kusadasi and Selcuk.
Beautiful Hotel, But Food Poisoning Ruined the Stay
4.0Beautiful hotel with absolutely unreal sea views. The setting really is stunning. The hotel itself is very modern but still has a bit of a traditional feel, which works nicely. The bedroom was great – really spacious, big TV, comfy bed, and a lovely balcony. The bathroom was also a good size, and it was handy having a free safe, plus plenty of cupboard and drawer space. Couldn’t fault the room at all. Facilities were okay overall, but we visited out of season so quite a lot wasn’t available. The bowling alley and arcade were closed, which was disappointing as there wasn’t much else to do. The gym definitely needs updating – only one cardio machine (a cross trainer) was working. The water park looked amazing, just a shame we couldn’t use it. The indoor pool and spa area were clean and modern, and the outdoor pool area was lovely with great sea views. The beach itself is beautiful, but again, being out of season meant no bar down there, and it’s quite a walk back up to the hotel for drinks. I can imagine this place being brilliant in the summer. We stayed all-inclusive through RSD travel. Drinks were okay with a decent amount of choice. Unfortunately, the food was a big letdown – very repetitive, with lunch often being reused for dinner. The biggest issue, however, was that 20 out of 36 people in our group ended up with food poisoning, myself included. I was extremely unwell and had to spend 4 out of 7 days in my room, which completely ruined a large part of the holiday. The on-site doctor confirmed it was food poisoning, despite it initially being suggested it could be norovirus. This was a massive downside and really overshadowed everything else. Because of this, I wouldn’t return, which is a shame given how lovely the hotel and location are.
Review of Hotel
10.0Excellent service. Room cleaning was very good, so also in the hotel. Food was good and the staff was friendly and serviceminded
RSD customer.
10.0We stayed at the room no 3028 which had been looked after by the nice housekeeper. She changed our towels every single days and kept our room cleaned and tidy which is so brilliant. Staff are so polite, attentive and courteous. Well we really recommend this hotel whenever anyone comes to Turkey, please try it out. Good hotel, reasonable priced beauty salon, and good choices of food.
Tour holiday with partner in early March 26
10.0We visited out of season so was unable to access all facilities however what we did have access to we was extremely happy with. The hotel is positioned on a beautiful hilltop with outstanding views. The room was big and spacious with gorgeous sea views.
Large but dated hotel; long waits, poor food, broken facilities, biased service. Entertainment good, not recommended.
6.0We have stayed in many hotels across Turkey, and unfortunately this one did not meet expected standards. It is closer to a 3-star hotel than its advertised rating. The hotel is very large, with many rooms far from reception. Transport is via golf carts, which were often driven too fast and involved long waits; we ended up walking. We were unable to move closer to the main building. Rooms are spacious but very dated and poorly maintained. On arrival at midnight, our room had no air conditioning, a broken fridge, dirty sheets, and no cot despite requesting one. We waited 80 minutes for the cot and clean bedding, and the fridge was not fixed until day three. There was also no food left at the night buffet on arrival. Food overall was basic, with limited availability—particularly at the outdoor grill, which often ran out within 40–60 minutes of opening. Sunbed availability was poor, and staff appeared to prioritise local guests, removing belongings and providing items such as ice creams to locals after telling us they were unavailable. This was raised with management but not resolved. Pools were large and clean, great slides. The kids’ club was limited, repetitive, and mostly charged extra. Wi-Fi also went down twice during the week. The entertainment team were excellent and very friendly, especially with children, but overall this hotel fell well below expectations. I would not recommend staying here.
