10.0We visited The Holcombe for my partner's birthday and had the most incredible experience from start to finish. The food was simply outstanding—honestly some of the best we've ever had. You can really taste the care and passion that goes into everything. From the homemade butter, crackers and sausages to the vegetables they grow themselves, every dish was exceptional. It's rare to find food of this quality, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The setting is just as special. Nestled in the beautiful countryside, the views are stunning, especially at sunset. We stayed in one of the lodges, which was beautifully designed, comfortable, and the perfect place to relax after an amazing meal. Alan and Caroline are wonderful hosts who make you feel so welcome, and meeting Truffle the dog and Pepper the cat was the icing on the cake! If you're looking for incredible food, a beautiful location, and genuine hospitality, The Holcombe is an absolute must-visit. We can't wait to go back.

Very comfortable & very very good food
10.0Lovely pub/hotel for our anniversary, we would return. Loved our room with cloud like bed & gorgeous slipper bath which looked out onto the fields opposite. Thick fluffy white towels, Noble Isle products & homemade cookies all added to our stay. Our evening meal was impressive, I had bouillabaisse which I was happily surprised to find on the menu & my husband loved his local buffalicious mozzarella & lamb chops. Puddings excellent too.Also appreciated my glass of cremant rather than the ubiquitous Prosecco! Our breakfast was one of the best we’ve had anywhere with homemade everything, breads, jam & homecured trout. Also a shout out to the charming young wait staff who are impeccably trained & all evidently happy to be there. Good communications with Caroline prior to our stay & we left with the overall feeling that this is a couple who care genuinely about their guests & importantly their staff too.
