Lovely stay in a pub !
10.0The perfect weekend away. The room was great with a huge comfy double bed and an excellent shower. Best water pressure I’ve had in ages and the espresso machine was a big bonus. Pub is located just a short walk along the river into town which was perfect for us to get a tour of the city on the punts. Stayed for dinner and breakfast and both were brilliant. Fresh ingredients and pub classics done right. The ale selection was great as well. Staff were all lovely and the pub had a warm welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. For the money you absolutely can’t beat this and staying above a pub was absolutely perfect for us.

Shabby & noisy!
2.0Overall, our stay at the Waterman was really disappointing. I booked 3 rooms for a girls weekend, 2 of the rooms cost the same and room number 1 was more expensive. Disappointingly we were allocated Room 5, which was the worse room of the three. It was smaller and extremely dark with very little natural light. The room was also very noisy as it was at the front of the pub, facing a busy road. There was no air conditioning, so we had to keep the windows open, which made it difficult to get any sleep. Room 5’s door lock was very temperamental and frustrating to use, often taking several attempts to lock the door when we went out. The shower also leaked from the top of the shower head, resulting in poor water pressure. The décor everywhere is very tired and in desperate need of refurbishment. On departure, no one asked how our stay had been or whether everything was satisfactory. Considering the price, we expected a much better experience. We were glad we were only staying for one night! Overall, a very disappointing stay that did not offer good value for money.
Amazing spot for sport
10.0came with some friends to watch the world cup games and loved every second of it. hadnt managed to book a table but they still took walk ins and we got this amazing little room next door called the cafe 30. we happily filled it out and they even have a dart board in there!!
