Great stay in beautiful El Chalten
9.0Great stay in beautiful El Chalten. Mind you that everything in El Chalten (and for good reasons) is more expensive than the rest of the country. So if you see a comment on it, just ignore it … All in all, Latitud 49 is ran by a very kind and helpful host who seem to be available all the time. The walk to the bus station is just 5-10 mins, as well as the restaurants and supermarkets. Since it is a bit of Main Street you literally hear nothing during the night. Shower works well, bed is okay and you have all the equipment you need if you have the energy (after the walks) to cook yourself.
− Can't really think of anything. The place is just what you need after long hikes. Can it be better, cheaper, newer?.. Probably the answer is yes, but again, it has all you need for a pleasant stay. If you complaint about distances to facilities, this place is not for you in general 😅
Fabulous apartment in the middle of the town with a superb host
10.01. The owner - Florencia. She is extremely hospitable and knowledgable about the area and the weather. She made excellent recommendations as to where to hike each day. 2. Lovely to have space and a kitchen where we could make some basics as well as a proper table and chairs. 3. Very comfortable bed and good shower.

A charming host made for a special stay
8.0A terrific location, within walking distance of everything the town of Chalten has to offer. (Still best to have a car to drive to trailheads, etc.) Apartment itself is fine, although there seemed to be a plumbing issue that kept the toilet from flushing all the way. Clean, with a well-stocked kitchen and plenty of hot water. The host was delightful - incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. She really made our visit special.
− The plumbing needs a bit of attention as the toilet never flushed completely.
