Disappointed with accommodation. The hotel lacks TLC and is in need of refurbishment.

Location in the Cheviot Hills. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room rate didn’t match the quality of the accommodation. Too pricey!

Unusual, but characterful hotel. A little old fashioned but absolutely beautiful location

The location is superb! The character of the house is unmatched! Friendly staff.

I did feel like I stepped back in time to the 70's - but having said that - it really added to the character and uniqueness of the place.

Room was comfortable

Not as advertised on booking.com It's very run down Nobody in reception on arrival had to search the hotel to find staff. Poor choice of food definitely not a la cart menu as advertised.

Disappointing. Glorious views decent size room but service was way below expectations.

Size of room.

Room had no WiFi which meant no tv. Staff were non-existent couldn't tell who were staff and no instructions given re breakfast on check in and no one about Saturday morning so didn't get breakfast. Skipped it Sunday as leftover plates cutlery glasses etc around the hotel from the night before didn't scream I want to eat here. One of the tea cups in the room was dirty. Mattress was so soft hit the bed frame when moved. Shower didn't have hot water.

Well to start with the room was not a king room in my opinion did not match the pictures that was provided on the website for a king room there was no sash windows as described on the website. The room was on a steep slope making us very weary when manoeuvreing around the room as my partner is blind in one eye. There was numerous cob webs at least 3ft long even my partner spotted them with her one eye. Many spiders along the wall. No wardrobe, TV had no Ariel to it so couldn't watch TV the actual Ariel was for either a sky box or DTV box. No hand soap the shower head could not be held up with the shower attachment so had to hold the shower head with one hand and wash with the other. Rotting windows frames. Much dust and grime and no light shade for the main light.
