Terrible expérience
1.0No comment
− Terrible experience. This hotel is located right next to the train station, and it is incredibly noisy. Every time a train arrives or departs, the noise is unbearable. The rooms are very basic, and the bathrooms are tiny. Considering what you get, the price is outrageously expensive. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
Great hotel with a concentration on the local produce and preserving nature.
9.0All staff, the rooms, the food, the coffee were fantastic. The location was great too, although a bit of advice from the hotel in advance of how to find the entrance would have helped us locate it.
− Being located on the railway platform, meant it was quite noisy, you could feel the tremors from the trains too - although they did stop at a reasonable time (around 10pm if I am correct) - and they do provide complimentary ear plugs, which also helps muffle the sound. But it was also the fumes from the trains, you could smell them in the room despite all windows being closed.
Not a good overall experience...I cannot recommend it
4.0The hotel looks charming in the photos, but in reality it feels more like a permanent glamping or camping-style property than a traditional hotel. The bathroom was especially disappointing. The shower was extremely frustrating because the water temperature constantly fluctuated, forcing you to adjust the hot and cold faucets throughout your shower. The water pressure was also very weak. The bathroom sink faucet was loose and would actually move out of place, and the fixtures throughout the room felt very basic and inexpensive. Unfortunately, both my husband and I became very sick the night after eating at the hotel's onsite restaurant. The room provides water in a large glass bottle, but it is not bottled water. I can't say for certain whether that was the cause, but after our stay we both suffered from diarrhea for seven consecutive days. Another downside is the constant train noise. Since the hotel is next to the train station, you should expect to hear trains throughout the day and night. The one major advantage is the convenience of being able to board and exit the train directly outside the hotel's front entrance. Beyond that, however, our experience was very disappointing. The only other positive aspect was the train easy access and staff, who were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not recommend this hotel.
