8.0A very agreeable place to stay for five nights while we celebrated with family nearby. We had a very clear sense that the staff enjoyed working there. It says a lot for the ownwr manager.
− minor niggles overshadowed by the good points
Disappointing
6.0A member of the staff, called Lucy, was excellent and extremely helpful. The breakfast was good.
− The room was very tired and dated. While the bed linen was clean and of good quality, the mattress was very soft. There was an ancient tatty chair in the room and the curtains barely covered the windows. The bathroom didn't appear to be particularly clean but the shower worked well. We were very disappointed with it and if we'd had more time we would have gone somewhere else.

− Steep hill back from the town. Although we are both elderly, we managed it steadily but other elderly/disabled people may have found it difficult.
