Stunning views and the lovely staff made our stay very enjoyable.
8.0The view from our room and the breakfast room were stunning. ( it’s above Villefranche but easily accessible.) The staff were lovely and very helpful ( but the owner interfered with them too much and the constant checking with her about their deacons was off putting) The whole place was very clean and the staff worked very hard . Lovely pool area. They did allow us a late check in which was outside their opening hours for reception -which was very kind. Beds also very comfortable
− The hotel is expensive for what it offers. At times during the day there is no one there. The bar area was never staffed and often no one at reception even in their opening times. Breakfast is just ok - staff amazing though. No nuts / seeds and very limited choice of fruit. For €15. I would expect more. Eggs are cooked for you which is nice! The owner should either be there and deal with guests. and make decisions but not sit in the office and undermine her staff with them having to constantly check see decisions with her. It’s embarrassing for guests and her staff. Our first room Room 5 we had to ask to change as it was noisy with constant breakfast traffic down the stairs or people checking out literally right next door;also the shower in that room was very small and you had to take the head of the wall to use it as the fitting would not adjust - not acceptable for what we paid. However, the room change was so much better I do feel the hotel needs a bit of an upgrade especially the bathrooms - shower fittings very old and unable to adjust height effectively. .
