NOX Paddington

Mouldy, stank of BO and sewerage and refusing to refund. Stay well clear!

Absolutely nothing, the room stank, the window blind was covered in mould and I am now fighting for a refund after not staying for the two nights I had booked. Stay well away! Please read my other comment below. The Premier Inn just up the road was much nicer, comfier, quieter and cleaner and was the same price!

− I travel a lot to London and found this place for the first time, thinking it was great (near Paddington station etc) and the pictures looking ok I thought I would stay. I arrived at the hotel just before 5pm, checked in and was directed to my room which was on the basement floor. Upon entering the room, two cleaners were still inside and they asked me to wait, they had no cleaning supplies only air freshener. After about a minute they left, and as I entered the room I was hit with the smell of air freshener and body odour. As the smell dissipated, there was an awful stench of sewerage which was coming from the bathroom, and the cleaning staff had left a can of Febreeze next to the door. I went up to reception and asked to change rooms because of the smell, and was told they had no other available rooms but might be able to move me the next day. I went back to the room hoping I could open the window to vent the room, however the blind covering the window was covered in mould, and the road was noisy. I returned to reception and asked for a refund, and to say that I would go elsewhere. I was told that they did not give refunds and that I would have to email the manager. I left after being at the hotel for less than 30 minutes. I contacted both booking.com and the hotel to arrange a refund. The hotel ignored my request, and also ignored the request from booking.com. I chased again, and the hotel responded to say that they checked the room and could find no mould and there was no smell, and so would not refund. I have photos of the mould, obviously I can't prove a smell, but had photos of the can of Febreeze left, and various other reviews mentioning the bad smell- clearly they are lying. Booking.com have said that as the hotel have said no to a refund there is nothing they can do (great customer service there!), however I have raised this as a chargeback with my credit card provider who are now refunding the stay. Stay well clear and book elsewhere!

The most perfect location in Paddington. Loved it so so much. So clean. Cleaners are incredible and overall service made

Extremely friendly staff (Bim!) and great location. First time in London and this felt like an easy location with the train station walking distance and Hyde park as well. The accomodation felt affordable for London prices and the family room was great for 2 people.

We had a fabulous one night stay at Nox Paddington. It was the perfect location and the rooms and facilities were perfect. Very friendly staff as well.
