Wonderful Stay at Morena Resort
10.0Spent a week at Morena Resort in a three bedroom 2 bath villa. The resort is very clean and quiet. The villas are simple but quite comfortable. Each had a small kitchenette with refrigerator, stove and all items needed for a meal. Each villa also had a large and spacious deck with table and chairs, sofas and a hammock. A great place to hang out. Air conditioning is only in the bedrooms and not in the main living space but a fan is provided. There are two pools at the resort and two restaurants. Both were clean, had very decent food and good service. However the pool bar closed early many afternoons when we were there which was a bit disappointing. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Morena is a 7 minute walk or a 2 minute drive from Jan Thiel beach and upon checkin you are given a pass to enter the beach parking lot for no charge. Many reviews speak of the need to walk uphill to come back to the resort from the beach. This is true but it is a gentle hill and it is very manageable. Morena also provides beach towels which can be exchanged each day for clean/dry ones. At Jan Thiel beach there is a small grocery store, many great restaurants and plenty of places to enjoy the beach and ocean. Morena Resort is not a luxury resort but our family really enjoyed the location, friendly staff, cleanliness and safety and tranquility. We would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Curacao.

− No mosqito net Coordination between booking and the hotel regarding check in time We had to wait 4 hours for our room Booking said check in at 1.00 pm The room was given at 5.00 pm The whole "eco" thing is not true, i think they use it to save water and to have your room cleaned every 3 days to pay less to their employees.
