The overall experience fell short of expectations for the price.
4.0The food tasted great, but the portion size was too small for a satisfying dinner.
− The hotel feels quite dated, and the room was not as clean as expected. There were stains on the toilet seat, hair on the table, and the private hot bathtub appeared to have mold. The room was also uncomfortable during the summer. There was no air conditioning, and only a fan was provided, which was not sufficient to keep the room cool. In addition, the blanket was too warm for the season. The in-room amenities, including the tea, shampoo, and lotion, also felt low quality and did not reflect the premium price charged by the hotel.

9.0Had a great time at Ryotei Hanayura. The tatami room was very spacious, and the futons were quite comfortable. Dinner and Breakfast was delicious and recommended with staying here. It was easy to walk to nearby attractions from here. Note that the smell from the lobby can be quite jarring with the nearby hot springs. Thankfully it doesn't spread to the room we stayed in
