Six-Minute Walk to the Theatre
6.0Ideal location for the Festival Theatre. Free overnight street parking. Pleasant ground floor room at the side of the pub garden; quiet at night. At breakfast the coffee was good.

5.0There were areas of the room that had deep ingrained dirt that had clearly been there for years. The decor was grubby and paint yellowed and carpet rather creepy and not at all fresh. It would take very little to deep clean and refresh the decor. excellent location and friendly staff. the bedding was clean

− Room very hot no fan meant I couldn’t sleep Although beer garden shut at 10 30 there were a few people talking until 1 30. Food I wanted sold out so I had to have something else
Great potential it disappointing
4.0Bedrooms small but nice and clean, although looking a bit tired and in need of a refurb. Breakfast very disappointing. Continental only included but pastries very dry, sliced bread for toast, no marmalade, insipid salumi and cheese that looked as though it had come from a supermarket. A pity because the lively town is well served for bakery and deli products. A cooked breakfast can be purchased as an add-on and looked good on the menu but can't be ordered until 10.00 a.m.. The building has all the attributes to be a really nice small town inn, but falls well short of it's maximum potential. However the staff are exceptional, in particular the young guy who checked us in and out.
