Family of 4 - just back from The Grove July'26
8.0The hotel overall was good and enjoyed it! The positives...the rooms were lovely, very spacious, clean and for a family of 4 gave us loads of room especially as they are young teens who want to hide away at times! (We had 3 bedroom apartment). We loved the washer/dryer, came home with all clean clothes! Some bits in the room didnt work though, a few lights, random plugs etc...had to keep flicking the breakers. The outside areas were great as well, loads of sunbeds, good pools and the lake area was lovely. Bits we didnt like...we werent told about the huge construction site next door...we got woke up pretty much every day with noise and the view was awful...not a deal breaker but not ideal. (See pictures) We were also 3 hours late checking in, didnt get the room key till 7pm,after we arrived at 4pm after an 8 hour flight...we ended up going out for food straight from the plane. We did get a free late check out though to make up for it after i asked nicely for it. The other bit was the corridors, they had a funny smell and were a bit dirty. As an example, someone dropped an oreo milkshake by the lift, it wasn't cleaned the entire time where there! Just stayed by the lift as as mess on the floor the whole time. If the corridors were cleaned and better maintained i would have given a better review. (See pictures) It is also a bit away from everything, to get to universal takes 40min (£25) uber, to get to the big Target and food places 15min (£10) ubers....we hired a car for a few days and that fixed the problem, lots of parking at the hotel that was good. Overall, enjoyed it but not sure if we would book again.
I give it 5stars and it’s great for families
10.0The location is close to Disney world to that’s always a plus for me. The Atmosphere is amazing and staff is awesome they make you feel at home. The rooms make you feel like you’re at home. You get your bang for your bucks . You really don’t have to leave the resort because everything is there.
Great swan paddle boat experience
10.0Alex cotto was great helping us with the swan paddle boat
They purposely cook you in the sun!
4.0Disappointed that the water park only puts out a few umbrellas around the chairs except where they charge for them. Don’t we pay enough to at least get some shade. Been to many other parks and the majority of them provide sufficient spots with umbrellas or shaded areas. Will not come back.
Fantastic resort
10.0We stayed for 15 nights as a family of 4 in July. We had read previous reviews and were a little apprehensive. We need not have worried, we had a fantastic stay. We were located on the 7th floor in an end room. The parking lot only goes to the 5th floor so we had to take the elevator up another 2 floors, but this wasn't a bother. The whole apartment was immaculate. We had taken things from home like kitchen towel, dish soap, detergent, antibacterial wipes, etc and these all came in handy. Some things were replenished throughout the stay, but come prepared with things you likely think you might need. Beds were changed every 5 days and bins were taken out every maybe 2/3 days. The pool towels were handy, but they really don't have much life left in them and are quite flimsy. The water park was great for the kids and it really does get busy. But we were there at 10am for opening and always managed to get beds with a parasol, but there definitely isn't enough of them dotted around unless you want to pay for a premium bed. The hotel is really close to lots of amenities. Flamingo Crossing and Rolling Oaks is about a 10 minute drive away with lots of shops and eateries. 7 Eleven and Wawa is 5 minutes down the road. We had a really great time at The Grove Resort and we will definitely be back in the near future.
Pesimo servicio
2.01.- The check-in staff were very serious and unfriendly. 2.- In the restaurant area, the staff was very slow and unfriendly. 3.- The bellhop was very rude when I was checking out; he refused to let me use the luggage cart because I had left my wallet in my room. I had six very heavy pieces of luggage, and I was staying in Building K, on the 6th floor (Room 2605), so going back for the wallet was quite a trek. He insisted I leave something of value as collateral, demanding my watch in exchange for lending me the cart. I found this extremely unpleasant, especially since the front desk already held my $300 deposit and I was in the process of checking out. That final interaction was the deciding factor in my decision never to return to the property and to leave a negative review, as I was treated in a demeaning manner that was entirely inappropriate for a guest. I believe they really need to address this major area for improvement.
