10.0Great atmosphere and nice rooms. - Central I would absolutely reccomend the restaurant. Good food, with local ingredients, and a tempting winelist.
Cozy place to stay in the arctic
10.0I chose the Deluxe Room for my stay and it way absolutely worth it. The hotel itself is clean, cozy and welcoming. The fireplace is a wonderful place to relax and connect with other tralers. The breakfast buffet is not very big, but fresh and tasty.

Comfortable Stay with Beautiful Views in Longyearbyen
8.0I had a wonderful stay at Svalbard Hotel The Vault. The hotel is clean and well maintained, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good with a nice selection, and both the dining area and lobby offer beautiful views of Longyearbyen through the large windows. As tap water in Svalbard is not drinkable, the hotel provides specially filtered drinking water upon request. Considering the high cost of water filtration in the area, I really appreciate that they offer this thoughtful service. The only minor downside was that the TV is not a smart TV, so we couldn’t connect our devices. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and I would recommend this hotel for its comfort, cleanliness, and great views.
Friendly Hotel with Great Service — Minor Breakfast Hiccup
10.0We stayed four nights at Svalbard Hotell Polfareren and had a very pleasant overall experience. We were lucky to get a room on the third floor, which was comfortable and quiet. The first three breakfasts were really enjoyable, with a good selection of food and friendly service — especially considering there were supply challenges to Svalbard during our stay. Unfortunately, after the last night when the hotel was fully booked, breakfast the next morning was disappointing. Several items such as bread, eggs, bacon, jam, and juice were missing for about half an hour, and it seemed the staff lacked routines to check and restock, which slightly affected our otherwise positive impression. That said, the staff were genuinely kind and helpful throughout our stay — answering questions, offering recommendations, and even insisting we borrow reflective vests for walking around town safely. The slippers provided in the room were also a very nice touch. Overall, a friendly and welcoming hotel with great service, despite one unfortunate breakfast experience.
Northen light, food and natrue experienc out of the normal
8.0Good deal at the hotel some minor issues with plumming and water. Nice staff, food and all in all very good stay. Svalbard should be on your bucket list, a special area, with the mining settlement and now with very good food also lucky to see a short view of the beautiful Aurora Borealis during our stay .
