− It said free parking and it might have but because it was in the town I couldn't work out how to get to it or where it was so I ended up paying for car parking at a local carpark

The best host, but hotel bedrooms need some upgrading.

5.0The Beaufort is a very nice, historic inn in the center of Chepstow Old Town. The dining facilities are character-filled, exactly what one is looking for in such an area. The staff are amazing, every member went out of their way to assist us and were super friendly and breakfast was great. Our room, although it wasn't air-conditioned during a very hot spell, was nice. It had coffee, tea, biscuits and an outlet for the hairdryer right beside the vanity mirror (the only such set-up on our entire trip). Parking was very easy - the Nelson St. car-park with free over-night parking is right out the back door and through the cafe garden. The Inn is within very easy walking distance of all the major sites in the town center, including the amazing Chepstow castle.
− The tiny bathroom and shower. Unfortunately, the shower was EXTREMELY small. I don't think that my 6'2" husband would have fit in it. The manner in which toilet was tucked into the corner made things a little awkward as well. This may have been a problem only with the room I had, since it was a twin room. I am thinking that the baths in the double rooms may have had a different configuration.
The hotel is in need of a revamp, it could be very nice if it was done up. The staff were excellent.
