Teleurstellende vakantie in een vijfsterrenhotel dat voor ons deze sterren niet waardig is.

De locatie was goed. Mooi hotel met een mooie goed onderhouden tuin, mooie zwembaden, directe ligging aan een klein zandstrand en voldoende ligzetels. iIn de zee liggen wel veel keien. Heel vriendelijk personeel, Mohamed Alazin werkt als bagagist en is heel vriendelijk. Hij was ook heel aandachtig en luistert naar de mensen en is heel behulpzaam.

− We kregen twee kamers gelegen aan het podium van de animatie. Oorverdovend lawaai en onmogelijk om zelfs tv te kijken in de kamer of te slapen. De receptie heeft ons daarover niet ingelicht. Onze zoon kreeg de volgende dag een andere kamer, wij pas op dag 3. Kamers hadden mankementen zoals geen douchegel en ik heb mij 4 dagen met champoo gewassen, ook geen conditioner voor het haar. Die was opgevuld met shampoo. De houders van de flesjes waren volledig beroest en geven vuile indruk. Onze zoon zijn kamer is tweemaal ondergelopen, het water stond tot aan het bed, doordat de douchedeur niet kon gesloten worden. We hebben dit gemeld en het werd wel opgelost. The Market restaurant is ouderwets en donker, alles is in donkerbruin hout en oogt oud en is aan renovatie toe. Het eten is echt niet lekker, taai vlees, niet gevarieerd, veel voorgerechten die op elkaar lijken maar geen naamkaartjes, dus je weet totaal niet wat je eet. Bij het ontbijt enkel sinaasappel, pompelmoes en meloen als vers fruit, de rest is uit blik. Geen verse kiwi’s, ananas of druiven zoals in de meeste hotels. Mijn zoon kreeg op dag twee diarree en heeft nu reeds 10 dagen diarree. Ik kreeg diarree op dag vijf. We zijn bij onze huisdokter moeten gaan. We zijn heel nerveus en vermoeid van onze reis teruggekomen, blij dat we naar huis mochten. Dit is de eerste keer dat wij op al onze reizen zoiets hebben meegemaakt. Hier keren wij niet meer terug en maken we ook geen reclame voor. Veel betaald voor een ondermaatse teleurstellende vakantie.

The Staff And Grounds are the BEST.. but the rooms??

All of the staff members I encountered were amazing. I intended to write down the names of those I encountered so I could name them specifically but forgot to do so. I remember Hamza from the tour desk. Salah, was one of the servers in the buffet restaurant. Inzo from one of the shops.. all were wonderful. As I said, I give the highest compliments to all of the staff.. these are just the names my forgetful memory retained. I loved the proximity to the beach and how there were plenty of areas to lie out in the shade. The grounds were immaculate and heavenly to just look at in awe.

− I did NOT like my room. I don't know if I had an old room, but it was not to my standards. The ONLY reason I did not complain and request another room is because we had been traveling for 2 days and had arrived 6 hours too early to check in. I was too tired to fuss and just wanted a shower. I spent my first hour in the room cleaning (I carry lysol wipes when traveling). Even if the room was old, there is no reason it should not have been clean. There was mold in the floor tile and in the caulk around the sink. There were areas on the ceiling that was stained. The frosted glass door of the closet was worn out and looked like there were oil spots on it. The sink had not been cleaned at all. When I used a wipe, it was stained. The bottom of the exterior did not have any type of door sweep so there was enough space for bugs and lizards to crawl through. I did have a mini lizard crawl through, but saw no bugs. The room safe did not work properly and would not register the numbers (1) and (3). The patio curtain had stains on it. The furniture was old, stained and worn. I lived out of my suitcase because I didnt even want to put any of my clothes in any of the drawers.

I loved the staff at the reception which were so helpful: I would like to thank Reda and Ahmed Ali which made everything to help me. Thank you guys: you made my holiday special. I will never forget that!! 💝

− The property is fantastic!! Food and drinks perfect, pools simply amazing, the Red Sea is wonderful and rooms are spectacular especially the Premium beach front. Go to the spa and do the Turkish bath with foam: superb!
