Good Location, but Serious Drawbacks in Accessibility, Privacy and Guest Service

The location and the reasonably well-equipped, functional kitchen are essentially the only genuinely positive aspects of this property.

− The biggest issue with this property is the unnecessarily complicated payment and check-in process. Payments are handled through separate links sent by email rather than directly through Booking.com. These links are not visible in the Booking.com app, which can create serious difficulties if you do not have access to the email account associated with your reservation while travelling. In my case, this became a major inconvenience. I had no access to that email account during my trip and ended up wasting a considerable amount of time and money on international phone calls simply to obtain the information needed for check-in. The process is unnecessarily cumbersome, with one link sent for the reservation payment and another for the security deposit. Unfortunately, Michaela, whom I spoke to, was not particularly helpful. Rather than making any genuine effort to resolve the situation, she came across more like an automated receptionist, repeatedly providing standard responses instead of practical assistance. However, the most serious drawback is the access to the apartment itself. It is located on the fourth floor of a building with an extremely narrow and steep staircase. Carrying luggage up or down these stairs is genuinely difficult and potentially dangerous, even for someone who is physically fit. With a large suitcase, it becomes a serious safety concern, and even smaller luggage is challenging to manage. For elderly guests, people with limited mobility, or anyone travelling with heavy suitcases, this could be a major problem. Overall, the combination of a frustrating payment and check-in process, unhelpful customer service, and extremely difficult access to the apartment significantly undermines the experience. These are important issues that prospective guests should be made fully aware of before booking. Another significant drawback is the complete lack of privacy.

The bed and sofa bed were very comfortable and the location was great. The apartment had everything you would need for a few days in Barcelona.

− We thought it would have a door between the bedroom and living room as it was one bedroom apartment, but it worked out ok.
