Staff were welcoming and friendly on arrival and when we got to our room we were given a bottle of wine as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Room was lovely and clean and we found all the staff helpful throughout our stay - with nothing being too much trouble, for example lending us an adaptor as we'd forgotten ours.

Great value in quieter area

Enjoyed our stay, comfortable room/bed, good sized bathroom, nice towels, good housekeeping etc. Hotel is in quiet area of Venice near to rail station. Lots to do in the area. Not for everyone though if you haven’t been to Venice before. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but did use the bar which was very pleasant with great service- although with cocktails at 16euro a bit overpriced. (Did say 12Euro on website) Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very darkly decorated but relaxing. We had lovely view of canal and limited noise. Some of hotel could do with a lick of paint. When we left we were sent a message asking for a five star review which was annoying and probably explains the overall score. Is it the best hotel in Venice - unlikely - but it was good value and we liked the area.

Excellent rooms! Comfortable beds. Everything was clean. Hotel is located close to train station and most sites are within walkable distance. Had a great time! Would highly recommend!

We arrived here feeling fairly optimistic we'd made a good choice . Pre-arrival communication was excellent . The hotel is situated canal side in this lovely area which we particularly enjoyed . Everything about the hotel was great . It's immaculate , the service was fantastic and a lovely welcome including a nice surprise for my partners significant birthday . We booked a superior room and were again really delighted . Large comfy bed, lovely bathroom and super quiet overlooking the garden area . We enjoyed the breakfast a lot and there was plenty of choice for us . When we return to Venice , this will be our hotel of choice . Thanks for a great stay .

Spacious, family-friendly hotel in Venice with excellent service, attentive staff, and clean.

We traveled to Venice, Italy for the first time as a family of four with two teenage boys (14 and 13), and we had a wonderful stay at Carnival Palace Hotel. Before arriving, we were a little worried about the room size because we know many hotels in Italy can be quite small, and we thought our boys might have to sleep on a pull-out couch. To our surprise, the room was incredibly spacious. It felt like two rooms in one, a king bed for us and two separate twin beds for our boys. We stayed in room 123 and it was perfect for our family. The room was spotless and the bathroom was fantastic two sinks, a bidet, a shower, and a huge bathtub, which was a great bonus after long days exploring Venice. We had breakfast at the hotel every morning and the staff in the breakfast room were incredibly attentive. Katerina was especially wonderful always greeting us with a big smile and making sure everything was perfect. The reception staff, Antony and Maddalena were also very helpful and gave us great recommendations for places to grab a bite around the city. The bartender at the hotel bar was friendly and welcoming as well. Another big plus for international travelers, everyone spoke English and Spanish very well, which made everything very easy for us. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice especially families traveling with children or teenagers. If you’re considering it for your trip, you won’t regret it!

Wonderful location in a more quiet area of Venice, beautiful design and the suite was just gorgeous! Totally worth the money! Anthony at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful! I totally recommend this stunning hotel for accommodation during a visit to Venice! I'd definitely go back :) thank you for the experience guys!
