It was a fun resort with many activities for all age groups but the lodge was very unpleasant.

− Update: We absolutely loved all of the activities they had on the property! There were many options for all ages, making it a great place to spend time with family. I want to give a huge compliment to their management team. After seeing my initial feedback, a representative reached out to me directly. The woman I spoke with was very kind, genuinely concerned about our experience, and made it clear that they truly value cleanliness. She explained that our unit had unfortunately been empty since the end of the winter season, which contributed to its oversight. I appreciate her call/sincerity, and her efforts to rectify the situation. I am genuinely looking forward to returning and enjoying the property under better circumstances! Initial feedback: Our actual stay in Horsethief Lodge #818 was, unfortunately, very disappointing due to cleanliness issues. The unit felt outdated and dingy. The carpets looked unvacuumed, the air smelled stale, and we encountered multiple issues: calcified faucets with stray hairs, an uncleaned upstairs toilet bowl, a ripped shower curtain covered in mold/pink bacteria, and visible splatters/stains on the walls, dining chairs, and living room furniture. Because we were only there for two nights and mostly just used the space to sleep and because the sheets and the downstairs bathroom were thankfully in better condition, we made it work. It originally felt like cleanliness was not a priority for this specific building, and it was clear unit 818 needed some serious TLC. However, given the response from management to make things right, I am optimistic that this was an isolated oversight and look forward to a much better experience next time!

− There were some minor issues such as the entry door which was unaligned and difficult to open. The upstairs bathroom bathtub had drain issues. Both were reported to the front desk.

"There will be exterior construction at the resort from June 15- September 15. Guest units will not be impacted by this construction, however, there will be noise during the daytime hours."
There will be ongoing construction at our resort beginning April 13 and ending on August 31. Construction will be seven days a week from 8am-4pm. During these hours, you can expect construction noise, and certain amenities may be affected temporarily during this time period. Please contact the resort prior to your stay for additional information.
