7.0Breakfast was good, staff were very friendly and helpful, location is very pretty and I enjoyed the bar area. Beds were very big and comfy, large rooms.
− Bathrooms are very dated, our room had a tiny corner shower that was so small you couldn’t shower properly as the water just sprayed directly in your face. This is despite the bathrooms being quite large and having plenty of room for a full size shower. Desperately need to change these small corner showers in any room that has them

− One thing I found in room 2755 I thought the carpet could do with a clean especially round the wardrobe/desk area but apart from that definitely no complaints about the room.

− TV had lost its stations, needed resetting. Only charged us one night for dinner and drinks, when we had two nights. Had to let them know to charge for two nights.
Great location with a traditional seaside hotel "feel" but also with some limitations....
6.0Great location for the event I was attending nearby. I had a large room as I booked very late (and paid a lot!) and there was nothing else available (it may have been listed as a suite but there was nothing "suite-like" about it). The bar area was cozy and friendly. Despite my negative comments about the "hardware" of the room etc. I found all of the staff to be super friendly, accommodating and helpful.
− The bathroom was large but very spartan; I could not get hot water into the shower system, and the rain shower head was blocked with limescale, so I had to try and clear the individual water nozzles myself, but the shower head was so badly aligned that water sprayed all over the bathroom. I had 2 cold showers for the 2 nights I stayed. There was hot water in the bath and the basin though. The Wi-Fi and cell phone reception was terrible. The TV remote didn't work and hadn't been checked to see if the batteries were dead - they were. Breakfast was OK, very functional, nothing outstanding, it felt very cafeteria like.
