Provided accommodation when most hotels full due to Flight cancellations but not a good place

Room was clean but needed updating.

− Poor value for money, name suggested close to Airport but wasnt, needed updating all round e.g. Chest of drawers in the room the top drawer was stuck closed, shower head bracket loose, room not serviced while I was there for 2 nights, breakfast only available after 10am on Sunday and on monday served in room at 9.30

Le gérant a prétendu qu’il n’avait pas de réservation à mon nom alors qu’elle était confirmée et payée d’avance sur Booking. Et il nous a proposé une chambre à 700£ . Je le soupçonne dans un contexte de très grande tension sur les capacités hôtelières ce soir là d’avoir préféré ignorer ma resa à 130£ et jouer la surenchère des prix …. J’espère que le service client de Booking pourra éclairé dossier

I liked the fact that after a disappointment with our Link Flight Cancellation and having to spend almost double the Price of that Ticket, to purchase New Tickets for my Family to Travel the next day ( as our Agent wasn't available to assist at that time ) WE HAD FOUND A HOTEL TO RELAX, secure our Luggage and plan, also contact our Family members, Holiday Venue and Transportation to change our time of arrival.

− I called the Venue for direction and was bombarded by an aggressive person ( the Host I believe ) saying that the Reception will be closing at 11pm and that there will be no one there to let us in. ( this was approx 10.55pm and I had only Booked the Accommodation less than half hr. ) My Wife having overheard the tone and Manor of this person, shouted back " there is no way we will be comming to your place and stay, your Customer Service is disgusting, you are an obnoxious person " We didn't make it to the Venue as there was no way we could have got there in 5mins from Heathrow Airport, we spent the entire Night on Chairs in the Airport with our Luggage -our Flight was 2pm the next day. They shouldn't have accepted our Booking knowing that they were closing at 11pm and this was close to 10.30pm...... and also have a cheek to keep our payment.. when we had no service from them. The other people were very noisy til all hours.The receptionist gave us a free upgrade[very kind] but the noise of the other customers was unrelenting[worse than the constant planes!

When we arrived, the room had not been ventilated on a hot day. Room very hot couldn't sleep. Booked because close to Heathrow had to leave windows wide open for some breeze. is very convenient to get to Heathrow. Towels the hardest we experienced on 2 months of travelling B and Bs around UK.
