Unfortunate stay

The information given at the time of booking is very misleading and the room upkeep and fittings were at its worst. We will avoid stay there in future. Secondly, it is important to have in house entertainment after evening. We found that the Hotel will show only local language programs, which is very irritable as it is expected that tourists from anywhere will visit the place.

Description written on the website of Royal retreat and actual facts are very different. Location of the hotel is pathetic...There is no garden in front of hotel...Most of the rooms dont have any view of outside...closed from all sides..couple of rooms have view of dusty road outside and nothing that can be called as garden view... Staff was very dull, extremely slow to respond to the requests...I dont think i will go back there in my life time..

Vi var 4 venner paa ferie i Munnar, Beliggenheden er 2 km udenfor Munnar fredeligt beliggende, men lige for oejeblikket er der vejarbejde, det afluttes snart. Taet ved te marker. taet ved lille landsby og fredeligt om natten. Saerlig service: jeg glemte en kjole, og hotellet fandt den og sender den til Delhi for mig.

Hotel in good position

This hotel has the potential to be much better, it is in a good position, although close to the road it is reasonably quiet (or would be if there were no roadworks). The room needed a good clean. The breakfast was good and the staff very friendly. Some staff were pushing for tips.
