Coconut Creek Review
10.0Excellent and generous hosts. Very good breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fully recommend for a pleasant stat in Kumarakom.
Adequate
6.0Cocanut Creek was pretty basic. The grounds are lovely although there's not really a river to view. My room was about as basic as they come, but it was clean and everything functioned well - including the AC. Friends we're staying at the Abad a half mile away. That looked very nice.
Very good value
8.0Given the cost this was a great stay. The accommodation is quite basic but is fine. The location is quite remote, which is what we wanted, it's surrounded on two sides by canals which is lovely. To get to the main town of Kumarakom it's a tuk tuk ride or a nice 20/30 min walk. However, the free breakfast isn't great, so don't rely on it. Also, access to the bedrooms is locked at night, so you have to ring the main bell to get in which is slightly annoying. Staff were lovely. To get there ask your driver to take you to the main church in Nazareth, and it is diagonally opposite across the crossroads. Would stay here again.
Rooms were clean, well maintained.
6.0No so good experience at this place, owned was quick to ask for advance payment as soon as we entered, the Homestay was far from backwater, market, restaurants and site seeing places, you need to travel 3-4 km for food, taking advantage of it the in-house kitchen food was costly considering its OK taste and very limited variety in offering.
Economical and quiet
8.0It was a good home stay. Best part was the food .. yummy hygeinic home cooked food. Lalichan and uncle are gentle folk .. overall it was a good experience.
Hmm...
6.0Hmm... Neither here nor there. Hard to find. They try hard. But I thought it was a little overpriced for what we got.
