9.02nd time we have stayed at Firkin Cottage. Quiet location as pedestrians only. Easy parking at Nothe car park, short walk to cottage.

Could be better ...
7.0Firkin Cottage was very spacious for 2 couples with a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. As it is located on a small lane with no vehicle access, we found the Nothe Car Park 5 minutes walk away a great place to park. The advantage of the pedestrian access only means it's in a very quiet location and quite dark during the night. Location to the town was excellent as were the directions and access to the property. The welcome hamper and milk were much appreciated, thank you.
− My husband and I had the double bedroom on the top floor and were shocked to find that the bed did not have a mattress protector on it. The shower room also located on the top floor could have done with a deep clean. The light above the bathroom mirror didn't work so we had to leave the main fan/light on during the night in case we needed the bathroom. The kitchen could also have done with a deep clean. As mentioned by a previous reviewer, some salt and pepper would have been useful. There didn't seem to be anywhere to recycle glass, cardboard and plastics (at the property or in town).

5.0Rubbish from previous guests was still in garden, so rats were present in garden. Couple of light bulbs not working, like in bathroom and bedroom. No internet for TV, not able to watch TV.
