Classic villa guest house is a decent option.
8.0Good location, several OK restaurants nearby. Beware of the junk food outlets. Walking is feasible in Magelang! Little side streets are peaceful. Not that there is much to see or do here, but two jumbo volcanoes loom nearby and can be visited. Rooms are clean but on the bleak side. Bathroom basic. Efficient new AC. Slept well. McDonald's close but Coffeeville down the road is much nicer.
− Was this a medical clinic at one point? Old fashioned and provincial. OK but lacking in charm. Good value though.

4.0Staff was good, friendly and helpful.
− My room was out of electricity. Called the owner and he turned off the phone, no answer at all. We were moved to another room by the staff that tried to be as helpful as possible, that was being renovated. No bathroom, we needed to use the toilet outside. The room was dusty due to renovation. We were moved to the better room the next day that was much better. But one day gone for the bad room, unfortunately, left the staff (which was nice, nothing wrong with her at all) couldn't do anything since the owner was irresponsible.
