6.0NO INTERNET, NO WIFI – Otherwise very good all respects. When we arrived at Robin Lodge, we were really impressed. It is lovely. Spacious, clean, well equipped, warm. However, there is no internet nor wifi. In this day and age, to not have wifi is unbelievable and somewhat shortsighted. Whilst the listing makes no reference to wifi, I personally think that it should be explicitly stated that there is no wifi. You just have to look at the reviews to see that others, like us, have been caught out by this. Someone approached me from one of the other Sykes lodges asking about wifi and said that, had they known there was no wifi, they wouldn’t have booked it and would have stayed elsewhere. The same applies to us. We wouldn't have stayed here. No wifi these days, is a bit like turning up and finding there is no mains water or no toilet. It is simply expected and if not provided, should be noted on the website. The cottage is lovely. If it had wifi, we would stay here again for sure. Without it, we definitely would not stay here again. The cost of lost business would hugely outweigh the cost of providing internet, even if it was a star link. We both ran out of data and had things to do which needed internet connectivity. Not to mention, no TV on demand and unable to work from here. To summarise, if you are in the 1% of the population who wants to be without modern connectivity then this place is ideal. Otherwise, I would suggest you stay elsewhere. Such a shame!
