Hotel in good location with spacious rooms.
7.0Room was big and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was close to the train station and riverfront walkway as well as two museums. Very easy to get to and walk to other neighborhoods.
− Certain floors are very close to the highway and you can hear cars at all hours of the day. If you are a light sleeper than this is not the place for you.
Tolle Lage aber kühl.
8.0Damit ein Zimmer für uns "gut" ist, muss es ruhig, vollständig abzudunkeln (Langschläfer) und heizbar sein. D.h. der Gast muss die Kontrolle über die Temperatur zwischen 18 und 26 Grad haben. Im Gate Hotel Ryogoku sind zumindest die Vorhänge dicht und in der Hälfte der Zimmer ist es ruhig (zur Sumo-Arena hin). In den anderen Zimmern hört man deutlich den Lärm von der Schnellstrasse vor dem Hotel, wobei das im oberen Stockwerk wo wir wohnten gut erträglich ist. Allerdings ließ sich im August und Anfang September die Klimaanlage nicht abstellen. Es wehte ständig ein kühler Luftzug und da das Zimmerertemperatur bei unserer Ankunft unter 18 Grad lag (draußen waren es knapp 30) war die erste nacht gefühlt recht kalt. Natürlich lassen sich die Fenster nicht öffnen. Dafür war das Deluxe-Zimmer 38 m² groß und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Regendusche und den Blick auf Sunida-River und Skytree genossen wir ebenfalls sehr. Das Beste ist aber die Lage. Ryogoku-Station ist nur ca. 4 min entfernt und von dort ist man schnell an allen Hotspots Tokios. Die Restaurantdichte ist sehr hoch, ebenfalls Einkaufsmöglichkeiten aller Art und trotzdem ist das Viertel Nicht so hektisch und betriebsam wie viele andere.

9.0昨年に引き続き二度目の滞在。私個人的にはとても気に入っています。居心地も良く快適に過ごせます。今回の部屋からの眺めも良く、何といっても朝食が素晴らしい！
− 良くなかった、というより...スタッフの方々には親切にしていただきましたし、設備やデザインもお洒落なのですが、高齢の母には少し馴染みにくい雰囲気もあったようです（汗）。

− 朝食をつけたのですが、料理はとっても美味しかったのですが、なぜホットコーヒーが先に来るのか、モーニングのバイキングの中にコーヒーメーカーがあったら最後に飲めるのに、コーヒー紅茶だけ別で先に来るシステムがよくわからないです
