Great place to stay but could be better with a few minor changes.
7.0Beautiful house, nice rooms and great location
− No air con - it was unbearable in the rooms also water left on the side but undrinkable as it was too warm. Needs air con and a fridge
Misleading photographs, constant road noise and poor value for money
2.0− The photographs of this hotel create the impression of a secluded property with a long sweeping driveway in a quiet setting. In reality, it sits on the junction of an extremely busy road, with constant traffic noise throughout the night. On arrival, we were asked to pay for our stay despite having already paid through Booking.com and the funds having been fully taken from our bank account. We were then advised that we could pay a second time and wait up to 10 days for the original payment to be refunded, which we understandably declined. The tour of the facilities was underwhelming. The dining room and bar area felt tired and uninviting, and we were not shown the pool facilities at all and had to find them ourselves. The photographs online certainly present a more flattering impression than the reality. It was a very hot day when we arrived and, when showing us to our room, the receptionist laughed nervously and commented that the room 'does get a little hot'. We had paid extra for a balcony room, which thankfully allowed us to open the doors to cool the room down. We later discovered that the heating was on and the radiators had been turned up to maximum, and opening the windows and balcony doors only exposed us to the constant traffic noise outside. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we have had in a long time and it was vastly overpriced for what was offered.

9.0Zimmer war geräumig und das Bett sehr groß und komfortabel
− Die Lage zur Straße ist nah und man hört die etwas lauteren motorbike
Comfortable but over priced
5.0Location and separate annex accommodation was nice. The views of the fields and Hares playing was lovely The two ladies working were pleasant
− When booking I had requested an 8-9 check in and had missed there would be a £15 charge for this as it wasn’t on the main page information - they accepted my booking before confirming this was ok with me The room was large and comfortable however the bathroom door can’t be closed from the outside meaning steam/smells were in the main bedroom. I decided to have dinner in the restaurant. I only ordered a jacket potato with beans and cheese and the beans came in a bowl, cold. I was then asked if I wanted them ‘warming’. I chose not to stay for breakfast. Disappointing stay for the cost of it.
A perfect night’s rest with great staff
10.0Good location, staff were lovely, breakfast reasonably priced, ready very quickly and prepared with care - great all round
Good hotel let down by breakfast and admin
6.0Good location for what we wanted (event at nearby Springfield event centre). Lovely room, friendly check in, enjoyed the pool.
− Too many rules. Unnecessary and over the top data collection. Having to provide guests name address email etc for fire reg purposes is nonsense and then to write it all out again plus ander invasive health questions just to use the pool - more nonsense. Breakfast is included if you book direct. We had to pay. It was really basic, plastic packaging and jam in tins, belonged to a much more basic hotel. Breakfast needs improving for a four star
