Amazing, historical building with large rooms set in beautiful grounds with a nice swimming pool.

− Breakfast was disappointing for the price. And our bathroom was mouldy and the toilet seat was loose. Even though the guiding us old, the bathroom should be clean. There was mould on the ceiling and all over the tiles. The mould on the tiles could be wiped off with dry tissue - so it clearly had not been cleaned in some time.

Ничего, это был худший отель, в котором нам когда-либо приходилось останавливаться. Номера находились в ужасном состоянии: сломанная мебель, порванные шторы, дыры в полу, муравьи в комнате. Вся территория выглядела заброшенной и неухоженной, в коридорах ползали насекомые, а завтрак был несвежим и очень низкого качества. Кроме того, территория была загрязнена экскрементами бродячих собак, которые свободно разгуливали по территории отеля. Это создавало крайне неприятное впечатление и вызывало серьёзные вопросы относительно санитарного состояния и безопасности для гостей. Большинство сотрудников практически не говорили по-английски.

− Директор и менеджер продемонстрировали удивительное сочетание высокомерия, агрессии и полного отсутствия понимания того, что такое сервис. Гостям запрещалось подъезжать к главному входу на автомобиле или такси и даже ненадолго останавливаться для высадки багажа. Объяснения менялись буквально на ходу: сначала нужно было «беречь асфальт», затем выяснилось, что территория является историческим объектом, а позже оказалось, что всё это делается исключительно ради комфорта гостей. Правда, эти правила почему-то совершенно не распространялись на директора, сотрудников отеля и другие «избранные» автомобили, которые регулярно беспрепятственно заезжали на территорию и парковались прямо у входа. Пока обычным постояльцам запрещали подъехать ко входу, на территории регулярно проходили шумные свадебные мероприятия с нетрезвыми гостями, громкими криками и свободным движением автомобилей участников торжеств и персонала. Когда мы заказали еду через Wolt, поскольку решили не пользоваться рестораном отеля, директор лично остановил курьера и заявил, что доставка еды в отели якобы запрещена во всём мире. Подобное заявление звучало настолько же убедительно, насколько и соответствовало действительности. После этого он вместе с менеджером начал настойчиво выяснять, почему мы не ужинаем именно в ресторане отеля, совершенно не скрывая, что право гостя самостоятельно выбирать, где ему питаться, интересует руководство значительно меньше, чем дополнительная прибыль. Когда мы выразили несогласие, оба начали открыто нас запугивать. Вместо профессионального поведения директор назвал нас «наглыми» и «бесстыжими», а также позволил себе другие оскорбительные высказывания исключительно потому, что мы хотели получить заказанную еду. Меня словесно запугивали двое мужчин, которые были более чем вдвое старше меня, из-за совершенно обычной и разумной просьбы. Мой коллега записал весь инцидент на видео, и у нас есть видеодоказательства произошедшего. Я никому не могу рекомендовать этот отель.

Authentic soviet spa/building site with potential

Authentic soviet spa hotel, and the lovely recently refurbished swimming pool and swim up bar and lovely lounge/ reception bar staff. It could have huge potential once the renovations are complete.

− The food. The beds were somewhat uncomfortable. The water pressure is in need of attention. Unfortunately, as per other reviews, they are investing in the hotel and as such it is a bit of a building site. I feel they have opened just a little early in their schedule of works.

De hele sfeer die dit oude kuurhotel uitstraalt is fantastisch. Gelegen in een prachtig park wat goed onderhouden wordt. De grandioze eetzaal die nog steeds herinneringen aan de Sovjet tijd oproept.

− Het zwembad was overdag heel druk en er werd hele luide muziek gedraaid.

Intimidating Management and Selective Rules

Nothing. This was, without question, the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The rooms were dirty and poorly maintained, with broken furniture, torn curtains, holes in the floor, ants, and even a mouse in the room. The entire property looked neglected, insects were present in the hallways, and the breakfast was clearly not fresh and of very poor quality. Most staff spoke very limited English.

− The director and manager displayed a level of arrogance and hostility that has no place in the hospitality industry. Guests were forbidden from parking near the hotel entrance or being dropped off there by taxi. We were told this was to protect the asphalt, then because the grounds were historical, and later to preserve guest comfort. None of these explanations matched reality, as the director, staff, and other authorised vehicles regularly drove onto the property and parked at the entrance without restriction. Management claimed these rules were for guest comfort, yet the hotel regularly hosted loud wedding celebrations with intoxicated guests, shouting, and unrestricted vehicle access for wedding attendees and staff. The only consistent effect of these restrictions was to pressure guests into using the hotel's transport service, which was far more expensive than a regular taxi. When we ordered food through Wolt because we chose not to eat at the hotel restaurant, the director personally blocked the courier and falsely claimed that food deliveries to hotels are prohibited worldwide. He and the manager then aggressively questioned why we were not eating at the hotel restaurant, making it clear that guest choice mattered less than generating additional revenue. When we objected, both became openly intimidating. Instead of acting professionally, the director called us "barefaced" and "impudent," along with other offensive remarks, simply because we wanted to receive a food delivery. I was verbally intimidated by two men more than twice my age over a completely reasonable request. My colleague recorded the entire incident, and we have clear video evidence. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. What should have been a relaxing stay became an experience defined by intimidation, selective rules, and deeply unprofessional and aggressive management.

Blij dat we in deze prachtige historische locatie verbleven hebben. Ruime, mooie kamers en een aangenaam zwembad. Toen we het vroegen aan de receptie, heeft iemand ons zonder problemen het verblijf van Stalin in het niet gerenoveerde deel van het hotel getoond.

− We waren niet enthousiast over de maaltijden. Vooral het diner viel tegen. Het personeel in het restaurant was niet vriendelijk.
