Basement Rooms 9 & 10 not fit for purpose
5.0Location, friendliness of the a.m dining room member, engaging in conversation whilst deliveringva good service. Other staff seemed unintereted in engaging in friendly talk.
− I was put in Room 9 which is in the pub/inn's basement, beneath the bar/dining area and kitchen. The basement conversion whenever carried out did not allow for soundproofing. There was a constant noise from folk above the room walking in hard shoes on bare floorboards above which prevented me from resting in my room or concentrating whilst working at my laptop in the room. I did get up and complain to the day staff who in fairness did offer to move me but as I was there for only 1 night I chose instead to bear it out however, I would definitely not stay there again and would advise anyone allocated a room in the basement No.s 9 & 10 to decline and request a different room. The solution is low cost and would only involve lowered ceiling, plasterboard and insulating material. And tgat from a nationally ceetifiedv design engineer!

10.0A beautiful room with lovely views out Spotlessly clean & comfortable The staff were very engaged & very polite Although we only stayed the one night it was a very welcoming & relaxing break A thoroughly recommended establishment & we are planning a return with the family but this time we would stay longer

8.0Nice pub / restaurant with some rooms. Could store my bike in a shed.
Stopped over at the Hart's Head and felt welcome, well fed and very relaxed.
9.0Stopover break between locations. Lovely welcoming team, excellent dinner and breakfast in a homely and individual bar/restaurant.
