4.0Not the hotels fault but when we arrived every street was covered in police to prevent fights between football fans, this was happening at the pub across the road. On arrival the hotel looks nice. The receptionist spoke very fast and didn't seem to want to make conversation. the room is basic, it has what you need and the room is very warm. Lovely view too. Was let down by poor cleaning. The bedding became loose which uncovered what I'm hoping was a huge coffee stain under the sheets, it was on a mattress topper easy to remove and change over. The shower is powerful so much that water ends up outside of the shower, there was old dirt coming away from the bottom of the glass on the shower too. Good to stay if you want something cheap to get to Cardiff central. We had breakfast on the last morning, selection was good and enjoyable. Recommend to check when match days are happening to avoid being caught up in local fights.
