Alles! Es sind die Details die es ausmachen, die Stift und Papier im Zimmer, Taschenlampe, Tigerbalsam, Wäsche gratis, immer per Whatsapp abrufbar und erreichbar....es ist eh immer jemand da. Sie haben extra für uns einen Beamer und Leinwand aufgestellt, dass wir die Fussball WM schauen konnten. Das Personal denkt mit und sind ein super Team. Anna die Managerin hat das sehr gut zusammen gestellt und die Leute geschult. Die Anlage ist mega, immer sauber und der Strand haben wir genutzt zum baden in den grossen Wellen. Ein paar Minuten laufen und dort kann man auch surfen in Paddulaw. Dort hat es nie viele Leute, nicht so wie in Arugambey! Wenn wir wieder kommen, dann definitiv hier hin.

The host (Anna) was helpful and friendly. She was available almost all the time for our needs and even helped us organize outside activities. The hotel is located near a beach that could easily be described as a private beach. It is also very easy to reach the city center. The room was always kept clean. The hotel has a restaurant that serves Italian food. We ate the best food of our Sri Lanka trip during our stay here. Additionally, the restaurant offers a 10% discount for hotel guests.

− There was nothing that I disliked about the hotel itself. However, I did not appreciate the attitude of the staff at the surfing school arranged by the hotel. I would recommend arranging your private surfing lessons independently by searching online.

Great location right on the beach at Whiskey Point. It’s 25 mins by scooter or tuk tuk to Arugam Bay so if the waves are not working at Whiskey point, it’s a bit of a hike. A little hard to find but lovely peaceful beach and the staff are awesome

− We stayed in the raised beach cabanas. They are pretty cool but you need a fan (which they can give you) but the only negative is that the four huts are super close together so limited privacy with sound.

Le personnel est attentifs à nos besoins et envies, le lieu est soigné et bien entretenu, terrain de volley, jeux de société, eau fournie gratuitement, la plage est surveillée, nous avions une cabane avec sanitaires publiques mais ils sont au pieds des tentes et très propres, avec le vent la nuit, il ne fait pas trop chaud dans la cabane

− Le logement, la nourriture et les activités sont a des prix plus élevés que partout ailleurs

We really enjoyed our stay at Whisky Point Resort. The rooms were clean and very nice. The beach were the resort is located at was lonely and beautiful, a must do is watching the sunrise there. The staff was super friendly and alert. We also liked the food and appreciated the free water they provide. We booked surfing lessons via the hotel which were great too.

− As it is bungalows in the middle of nature they dont have AirCon, be ready to be woken up early by the sound of all the animals surrounding you and the heat. It is also a approx 30 min ride to the city center, but we found that good manageable.
