We simply LOVE DE Hoop, and this time we brought family from the U.S to experience.

9.0Die Anlage liegt mitten in einem Naturschutzgebiet und liegt daher sehr einsam. Der Weg dorthin ist etwas beschwerlich, da es ca. 40 km über eine nicht geteerte Strasse geht. Das Naturschutzgebiet selber ist wunderschön und hat viel zu bieten. Frühstück war nicht beinhaltet. Das Abendessen im Restaurant jedoch war sehr gut.
− Die Unterkunft ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Der komplette Bereich rund um unser Haus war sehr desolat und nicht einladend um sich dort aufzuhalten.
Authentische Unterkunft im De Hoop Nature Reserve
8.0Wir haben als fünfköpfige Familie eine Nacht im Blue Crane Opstal House übernachtet, dessen rustikale Einrichtung uns an ein englisches Cottage erinnert hat. Die ganze De Hoop Collection Anlage und die Einrichtung des Opstal Houses fühlt sich an wie eine kleine Zeitreise. Wir fanden das passend und authentisch! Das Ambiente beim Abendessen im Fig Tree Restaurant fanden wir gemütlich feierlich und das Essen hat uns geschmeckt. Die Betten im Opstal House sind bequem. Wir würden hier wieder übernachten, nicht zuletzt wegen der einzigartigen Lage.
− Das Opstal House ist etwas kühl. Aber ein Kaminfeuer wärmt das Wohnzimmer schnell auf und in den Betten gibt es Heizdecken und warme Bettdecken, die ihren Zweck erfüllen. Die elektrische Heizung hinter dem Sofa im Wohn/Esszimmer haben wir am nächsten Morgen erst nach dem Frühstück entdeckt.

10.0Einfach genial! Wir waren im Giant Kingfisher Haus, somit hatten wir viel Platz. Auch zur Selbstversorgung perfekt! Wir haben im Restaurant gefrühstückt und zu Abend gegessen. Die Küche ist sehr gut! Die gesamte Lage ist paradiesisch! Vögel, Zebras, Antilopen, Wale! Wir kommen bestimmt noch einmal wieder! Das gesamte Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.
− Unser Aufenthalt war mit drei Nächten zu kurz!

8.0La réserve est splendide , très agréable, apaisante
− J’ai trouvé le confort assez rustique par rapport au prix qui n’inclut rien de plus que le logement (par rapport à d’autres réserves visitées plus tard dans le karoo, all inclusive et très confortables pour un prix à peine plus élevé.)
