Nice kitchen but smells musty and damp

− The smell of damp and the living room was two old sofas that were uncomfortable and smelly we had to open the windows but the smell of sewerage from the drain outside so had to shut them again had to stay out for the rest of the evening had to sleep there and left the next day my husband was affected by the damp he was coughing all night spoiled our holiday

A really comfortable place to stay right next to the harbour -

Great location. I love the way they had decorated the property. The bedding and towels were super fresh and of great quality. The kitchen had everything we needed and again, really clean and fresh.

− The shower room wasn’t as clean as the ready of the house for some reason. But that’s something that can be quickly fixed. I didn’t like the admin we went through to get into the house. Sounded like a foreign call centre and I kept receiving the same questionnaire even though it had previously been filled in. I ended up sending an email and 2 phone calls to put my mind at rest to know if we were actually going. This was the day before.

Loved Staithes just not this cottage.

The location.

− The property was cold on arrival. And although we got the bedrooms warm, the lounge was constantly cold. Sat with blankets around us. There was no hot water and the shower head needed descaling. No toilet roll. Luckily in time to buy some from the store.

The information received before we stayed was good so we knew where it was and how to get in. The beds were comfy and the only room that was on the cold side was the sitting room The kitchen was nice and well equipped apart from a dirty oven and the freezer box (tiny one in the fridge) needed to be defrosted for it to be shut. The decor is nicely done and although no sea view the location is nice and very cute

− It was filthy! Despite contacting host and stay when we arrived and requesting the black mould and filth be cleaned in the shower nothing happened and I had to go and buy cleaning products to clean it myself before it could be used and the shower pressure was a trickle! Coffee machine present but no coffee pods No wood or coal to even light one fire 1 loo roll left for 4 people for 3 days Black rising damp in the sitting room Carpets were filthy Mildue stained sheets on one bed I paid more money to book with a company thinking it would have better standards but was bitterly disappointed.
