That it was available at that time of night. The communication was bad, you check into a shed on a different street than house which was not clearly stated, we had a challenging time finding this. The main house was musty, and felt a bit grimy. it had an unpleasant odor seemed to emanate from bottom floor, we stayed in the building next to it which had no water etc. The parking was challenging, and we both felt this the worst accommodation in our three week tour of N & S NZ. It was much to much money for what we discovered.

The property location is on the main highway which I wouldn’t have booked had I known. The location on the booking site is different and therefore misleading. The kitchen floor was sticky (tacky underfoot) and inadequate cooling options with no screens on the windows and no heating in bedrooms. Overall pretty underwhelming.

Unique property on the waterfront. Great accommodation in an area of nothing but long beach walks and of course the pancake rocks. Bedrooms are in two seperate buildings with only one washroom so it does require walking outside if you’re using more than one bedroom. No screens on windows, or air conditioning or heat in the second building. Kitchen, living area, and balcony are all upstairs with stunning sunset views. Very comfortable.

The place is great - location, views, layout. the only problem was we wanted to grill and the grill is ANCIENT and didn't work - couldn't light it. This needs to be replaced. A decent new one will cost under $200. Other than that all was wonderful.
