Location and commodities. The distribution of the house, kitchen and living rooms open space directly facing the outdoor space - really well designed

− It was such a shame a property like this and not even one long chair was properly working. We couldn’t stay by the pool because there was no place to sit.

La casa es general está bien, agradable y adecuada para familias y grupos de amigos. La ubicación es buena, a pocos kilómetros de las playas y de comporta. La piscina un punto muy positivo, limpia y de buen tamaño.

− La limpieza bastante deficiente en general, había incluso telarañas en ventanas, techos y muebles. Toallas sucias y las sábanas de las camas muy arrugadas, lo que da mala impresión al llegar. Las hamacas de la terraza estaban todas rotas.

This property is NOT where it shows on the map, it is 10 minutes down the street and not in the village of Comporta. There is only one AC unit, and the bedrooms get very hot. The house was not clean upon arrival and the cleaning people were still there. The microwave didn't work either. I am still waiting for my refund. The management company is difficult to work with and communicate with. Cute pool though.

The home was so lovely and charming and beautifully decorated, great location a 5-10 minute drive to beaches & towns. The pool was fantastic for super hot august afternoons. Hosts were super helpful and responsive. Overall a magical time in Comporta!

− Overall the house was great! I would say the bedrooms were hot as AC is only in the living room. That said we had record heat and fans helped. And not being able to flush the TP was a bit of an adjustment but we managed!

Very poor price/quality rate

Location

− One of the bedrooms is located outside the house and it was very very hot during night (which is very rare in Comporta as temperatures during night tend to be cool) making it difficult to sleep. They provide you with a fan, but it not enough. The pipes of the house are old and due to that those are easily blocked (you cannot throw toilet paper into the WC). Actually we were with children and despite we explain this to them, they didn’t understand it well and the pipes of the house blocked and waste stared flowing outside the corridor (because there is a hole where wastes can flow through). They send help after 2 hours waiting. Cleaning services can be provided upon request (100€/day and the cleaning they do its not very hard, which due to the high rate was very disappointing). At mid-stay they changed the sheets and towels (included in the price, which was very appreciated for us). We had to wait about 30 minutes to do the check-in and the woman that attend us didn’t spoke English. To sum up, the price/quality rate was very disappointing. We won’t repeat despite the great location close to the village of Comporta and the beaches (which of course are lovely and thus wi will repeat in Comporta but not in this home, it is not worth the money).

The house had enough space for all our family (7 adults, 2 children and 2 pets). It is well equiped, with a good swimming pool and close to the beach (around 5 min drive).

− After 2 days in this house, everyone started to feel unwell (stomach pain, vomits, diarrhea). The only common thing that we had taken was the tap water. After asking the owner about it, she mentioned that the water is not good for drinking and that is applied to the whole area. This is not public information, and it is not the guests obligation to know such things; furthermore, there were signs on the toilets regarding the toilet paper but not a single sign about the tap water not being proper for drinking! The owner added that this information is always mentioned during check-in, which was unfortunetely not the case. It totally ruined our only week together and we will not come back.
