10.0Most meticulously clean Marriot property ever! Very hard working and friendly staff. Sara deserves special recognition as both industrious and calm under fire. I watched her gently manage angry guests whose problems had nothing to do with the property but rather issues related to third party booking sites. I highly advise that when booking a Marriot property use the Bonvoy site rather than online booking sites. Trust me, this will make travel easier. The Marriot rewards program is just ok but membership is easy and helps with your stays. Nick, the manager, and Giovanni, the breakfast guy, are very good at their jobs. Our week during the world cup was restful, enjoyable, and safe. The only caveat is that this property is about 20+ minutes from downtown KC. But the savings more than make up for the drive provided you have a vehicle.

DAY 1 — Marriott Overbooked, Cancelled My Confirmed Reservation, and Left Us Stranded
2.0I want other travelers to know exactly what happened to me and my young son at this property on April 18, 2026. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member. I booked my reservation directly through Marriott and completed mobile check-in through the Marriott app the day before my stay. When my son and I arrived at approximately 5:30 PM — after traveling for his youth sports tournament — we were told at the front desk that our reservation had been cancelled. The staff acknowledged plainly that the hotel had overbooked and made the decision to cancel my reservation. They did not dispute it or apologize for it. They just told me I was out. The area was completely sold out due to NASCAR and other events. Rather than helping me find a room, the staff left it entirely to me. I stood at the front desk with my son and searched on my phone. I found a room at the Embassy Suites by Hilton — at more than double my original rate — and booked it myself. Your property offered zero assistance. I asked to speak with the manager. The manager refused to come to the phone. Staff told me I might be eligible for Bonvoy points — no commitment — and to check back on Monday. I was flying home Sunday. Nothing was ever provided. I have sent formal written demands to both the property and Marriott corporate. I will be posting here every day until this is resolved.
The bed Was very Comfortable on the TV was nice

− The sink in the bathroom backed up. And there was a foul smell like a sewer was backing up outside.

6.0Sorry but elevator sounded like it needed a tune-up, kinda scary. Towel rack was off the wall in bathroom. Rubber mat for shower was nasty looking. Bathroom on lobby floor not available for guests.
