Absolutely exceptional. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, and made us feel at home. The service and attention to detail was fantastic throughout. There were more breakfast options than you could ever need, with more available upon request. High Blean B&B is a perfect place to visit for a relaxing time in the countryside!

A perfect stay in a beautiful B&B

10.0

We travel a lot as a couple, and I also travel extensively with work. I have never felt so at home, so quickly, as at High Blean B&B. The location is certainly remote, but that is what we wanted. It’s a lovely traditional Dales type cottage with stunning views of Semer Water. The room, whilst being the smaller of the two, was plenty big enough, with lots of space. The best thing about the room, aside from the view, is how thoughtfully it has been prepared. From top quality bedding to a large drawer full of different types of tea and coffee, even the consideration of providing small bedside torches rather than having to turn a light on in the middle of the night (it gets very, very dark), Suzanne and Dave appear to have thought of everything. The breakfast was outstanding- you may not need lunch - and Suzanne and Dave are so friendly - you really do feel like a guest in their home. They even asked if we wanted to come through to their dining room to watch a red squirrel feed in their garden. We will certainly be going back next year.

This is the best B&B we have ever stayed in. I cannot think of one area for improvement. We were warmly greeted, the room was superb and views exceptional. To be clear this is not in Hawes but a few miles outside and well worth the trip. Breakfast was wonderful and the home made yoghurt inspirational, I bought a yoghurt maker when I got back home but it’s not as good as David’s. Home made jams and lovely choices for breakfast. Everything about this B&B was great. I look forward to going back and staying longer. You even get use of a fridge downstairs although it was David and Suzanne that got to enjoy our Wensleydale cheeses we left behind! Thank you both for a lovely stay.

Brilliant weekend

We had a brilliant stay here, we were made to feel so welcome. The house is so cosy and warm. There is a really good breakfast menu. I added so much to a perfect weekend retreat and I felt sad to leave at the end.

Perfect hosts in the perfect B&B

10.0

Stayed in room two and the views were beautiful, the warm welcome received from David and Suzanne made us feel so welcome and that was before the fresh scones and leaf tea were served as a welcome. The grade II listed cottage sat down a really quite lane that was in an ideal location to be silent when you wanted it to be and there are two villages within a ten minute drive down single track roads that are nice and quite. David and Suzanne has an amazing knowledge of the local area and are great at giving directions to places of interest in the area and can possibly recommend anything for every ones taste. My personal tip, at breakfast forget the jam they buy in and have David's home made stuff :)
