OK, but not sufficient to make me want to return.
7.0The room was large and attractive with a decent-sized bed. On-site parking was not a problem.
− I was surprised to find that the room had not been cleaned, and the bed not made , nor the towels changed when we returned from the funeral we had attended. I was also surprised to see a note on the door -which I had not placed there - saying 'Please do not make up the room '. I also found I had to repeat everything I said to the staff

8.0Nice, quirky old building and conveniently placed in a village with most of what one could want. The crazy sloping floor in my room only added to the charm, as far as I was concerned. Friendly bar downstairs and good food in the restaurant.
− No-one could find the remote control for the TV in my room. I .managed, after much trial and error (there was no manual available), to make it do some things using the buttons. I suppose that is the sort of thing that can happen but it remains the case that it was an inconvenience.

− Breakfast was served very late at 9am. We had to leave at 7:30.

− Rude unhelpful manager. Room not the one advertised and booked (large double booked and paid for as per pictures and description on Booking.com). Dirty drinks tray,dusty un emptied kettle, no breakfast tea bags, lamp not working (needed charging),used razor left in the shower, air freshener block was a tiny dried up block, broken blind. When we asked Jack about the room discrepancy he said there was nothing he could do and not to put comments or pictures on the website.
Good to know
We believe that dogs are part of the family & there is no need to leave any four-legged guests behind. Complete with their own welcome box and bowls, up to a maximum of two dogs per room. £20 per pet, per stay. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance.
