Kenya on the lake
10.0Stunning location, perfect food service and quality, great personnel managing extraordinary hotel located in the greatest place. Our house was so big, perfectly designed. I highly recommend this place to stay for whole holidays. You need to hire the boat to get there (30 mins fast boat), otherwise you'll enjoy long travel cruise on public ship.
An absolute must if you are in the area. It's really beautiful! If possible, try check on the lake fly situation, as
7.0The setting is unbelievable. Hard to believe you are on a lake and not on a tropical island. Friendly staff and a fun adventure arriving by old style wooden boat. George goes out of his way to make sure you eat in the best possible location each meal, be it on the jetty for breakfast or under the towering shade of the fig trees for lunch. Always lots of food :-)
− While the location of the rooms is spot on and well throughout, the lodge is in need of a little TLC or a keener eye for detail. I understand it's very remote and not full all the time, but some items can't be overlooked. The roof in a few places needs repair, as you see the daylight coming through and rain when raining :-) A better coffee set up (only instant) and tea choice (no breakfast/ English tea, only some herbal thing) would not go amiss.

9.0The rooms were very clean; the food was excellent; the staff were very attentive and friendly.
− The main challenge that we had was that the communication about the reservation was with the main company, not directly with the lodge. The representative we were communicating with did not provide us with good information about the transport to the island (including wrong information), did not share our reservation form (which included our arrival times and dietary preferences) with the staff at the lodge, etc. this was disappointing.
