8.0Quite a unique and impressive looking hotel - a genuine French Chateau with interesting history. This old property obviously therefore comes with its 'shabby chic' quirks. The toilet was in a separate room in the bathroom which was literally the size of the toilet! The hotel offers breakfast but no other mealtimes, so you do need to leave the grounds (drive) to find somewhere to eat in the evening. The local town where there are a couple of restaurants feels out of kilter with the hotel as the town seems quite modern - almost american in style. The chateau is in lovely grounds and has a covered heated swimming pool which was a great amenity to have.

10.0This chateau is nothing short of fabulous. The owner, Phillipe, is gracious and generous. The chateau itself is gorgeous and close to the small town of Evreux. I recommend going kayaking on the Eure river. It all makes for a relaxing respite from the bustling, overwhelm of Paris. Only one hour away by train, this place is absolutely a gem. I can't say enough about how great of an experience it was.

10.0Lovely homely hotel. Nicholas and his sister were very helpful, and always available. Breakfast was particularly good. We also loved the pool table, table tennis, table football and o& course the pool.
