Photos of the resort does not match reality
2.0My family and I recently stayed at Village of Angels and was very disappointed with our experience. The property looked tired and worn out—nothing like the attractive photos online. Our room was configured with two separate entrances, a detail that was never mentioned during booking, and this setup proved highly inconvenient for our family with small children. Throughout our stay, there was no effort to accommodate our concerns. While we were eventually allowed to rearrange the room to include two single beds, this change was made without any refund for the additional room we had originally booked. The gym facilities were a joke; the resort claims to have a gym, but they don’t (again it didn’t match the images we had seen before booking). The pool area was equally problematic—the pools were dirty, the water murky with poor visibility, and our children were reluctant to use them. Adding to the discomfort, our room had a persistent mouldy smell, the air conditioning didn’t work properly, and even the outdoor pillows were dirty and worn out. The only positive thing was the employees. Although they were understaffed, they did their best with what they had. It does not feel like any of the other places, we have stayed in during our vacation in Bali, nor did it meet the usual service levels, which leads me to think that it is not a Balinese owned place. Overall, our stay at Village of Angels was far from the relaxing experience we had hoped for, and I cannot recommend th

2.0There were bedbugs in our room which was extremely disgusting and the property was loud from the birds that they keep on site. Would not recommend staying here. There are much better options close by for equal or less money.

8.0When getting to the hotel we were very pleased with the large room and outstanding sea view. The decor of the room was just what we were looking for during our stay. Staff were so friendly, always on hand, really accommodating and you got service with a smile. The infinity pool and access to the small beach was great to have. The hotel gardens were stunning and very well maintained. We were looking for a relaxing holiday which is what we got. Very clean and the food was very nice 🙂 The only niggle we had was a dark, narrow road leading to the hotel. Some street lighting would be of benefit. The hotel also arranged a transfer to and from the airport. We then booked the same local taxi driver throughout who was wonderful. The Balinese people are lovely 😍

6.0The gardens around the property are immaculate, and the staff are so kind and helpful. The view from the ocean view villa is amazing and you can hear the waves crashing all night. However, the bed is one of the hardest I’ve ever felt and extremely uncomfortable. Also, my bathroom smelt a bit like sewage, and when I turned on the shower, the water smelt badly, too. Every time I showered I felt less clean because of the smell. Not sure if it was only like this in my room and I have bad luck, or if the water/pipes on the property all need to be checked. The restaurant food on site is just average with very limited options, but is served quickly. At this price point in Bali, and even for half this price, there are cleaner, nicer options.
