Hotel price, motel feel

This hotel was not worth what we paid. It has the feel of a motel but charges hotel prices. The rooms appear to have been remodeled recently, but the updates feel cheap. The fake wood flooring seemed uneven, as though it may have been installed over previously water-damaged floors. A small, inexpensive mini fridge was simply sitting in the middle of the room rather than being built into the furniture. The bathroom also felt like an old bathroom that had been covered with inexpensive finishes rather than properly renovated. It was not obviously filthy at first glance, but there was dirt in the corners and on top of less visible surfaces, which made it clear the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. The electrical outlet next to the bed was so loose that a plug would not stay in it. The windows also provided almost no sound insulation. We could clearly hear the bar across the street at 2:30 a.m. For the price, the quality, cleanliness, maintenance, and noise level were unacceptable. I would not stay here again.
