10.0This is a lovely 3-floor cottage house with everything we needed and some unexpected little extras. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
Central and roomy, with some challenges.
5.0This home is in a wonderful location, right off a main street in town but the traffic noise is minimal. The home had numerous bedrooms (4) but at this time of the year (late May 2026), it was unusually hot for the UK and fans did not keep you especially cool while sleeping. Fans for each room would be recommended as we had to move the only two available fans to our two rooms that we were using. The home is central, an inviting door with flowers, a nicely equipped kitchen, light filled bathroom on second and third floor and roomy.
− This home for some reason was attracting an inordinate amount of flies from somewhere. This would be first on my list for fixes. Maybe find out how they are coming in as I would let out 30 from the bathroom windows on the second floor and when we returned home, there would be another 30 in those windows. Don't know what's attracting them or how they are getting in but it is something to check into! I would recommend the management to check on a smell that is accentuated when you approach the top of the first floor landing. I would also recommend cleaning stains off the couch which is a first moment impression of a place. When I informed the management about the two most critical of these, they refunded a small amount to compensate for a compromised stay. It is something, but not reflective of a listening or empathetic party in my way of thinking. I am a travel consultant and business owner so I operate slightly differently for the long haul.
Perfect cottage in excellent location
9.0Coniston House was perfect - really lovely property in an excellent location. Could not fault it and hope to return in the future!
− As had been mentioned in other reviews, tall guests need to mind their heads. Not a complaint though!
Comfy and central
10.0We had a fantastic stay at Condition House in Stow-on-the-Wold. The property is beautifully styled and felt both cosy and spacious, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms—perfect for our family. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, which made it really easy to settle in. The location is super central, so we could walk everywhere, which we loved. The host was also wonderful, providing great recommendations that really enhanced our stay. We would absolutely stay here again.
− Nothing. Small downside was no private parking however there is free on street parking and we got a park each time close by (within 25m) no worries.
Idyllic Cottage in the heart of Stow on the Wold
10.0Absolutely the most perfect English cottage. We were overjoyed with the location, the decor, and every charming detail. Thank you for the lovely welcome items— loved them all! Coniston House offered us a truly lovely Cotswold portion of our holiday!
− Nothing, truly. One small detail worth noting if you are unfamiliar with houses within the area— the ceilings upstairs can be a bit low. My husband is 6’2” and he smacked his head several times on the beams. But that’s not a reflection on the cottage owner— just a tip for future tenants. :)
Just a perfect location and beautiful house
