The staff are incredible. The hotel has everything you need, is spacious and set up on a hill away from the lake Garda Buzz. But easily accessible to everything.

− Wish there were more non-beef options on the menu for dinner. All three starters were beef based.

5 Star, no not at all

Five-star prices. Budget-hotel delivery. Where do I start? Check-in: we stood at an empty reception desk for 15 minutes on arrival. Not busy — unattended. First impressions matter, and this one set the tone perfectly. The room: locked at 23°C with no way to cool it further. When we complained, we were told 23°C is “the set point” and perfectly normal. In the height of summer. A five-star hotel telling guests they don’t get to control their own room temperature is remarkable — most luxury hotels let you set 20–21°C without a debate. The taxi: booked through the hotel, who then simply forgot to order it. We discovered this standing outside waiting for a car that was never coming. The restaurant: food sent back. At these prices that shouldn’t even be possible. The atmosphere: the place is a ghost town. Empty corridors, invisible staff, none of the presence or polish the star rating promises. It felt like a hotel running on a skeleton crew hoping nobody would notice. The exit: after all of the above, we asked to leave early. They refused to waive the penalty. Happy to fail on service at every touchpoint, but rigid to the letter when it comes to charging you. That tells you everything about this hotel’s priorities. Five stars on the sign. Nowhere else. Avoid.
