Best experience staying here.
10.0I’ve stayed at many beautiful resorts, but this has to be one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had. The service at Fairmont is truly second to none. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Zineb at reception, who checked us in with such kindness and professionalism. She made us feel instantly at home and directed us to the concierge, who booked a full day of activities for us. Our first night at Paper Moon was amazing. Wiam and Hiba were incredibly welcoming, Wiam went above and beyond to make us feel special, and even took the most Instagram-worthy photos for us. The food was top notch. Breakfasts were equally enjoyable thanks to Oussama, whose energy was so bright and welcoming every morning. Another Oussama kindly gave us a tour of the villas as I’m already planning to return with my family. A special mention to Omar, our favourite bellboy, who consistently went the extra mile, whether it was giving us buggy rides in the evenings, showing us around the villa, or simply making sure we were comfortable. Mohammed was also wonderful, always greeting us with a smile and eager to help. Nassima from the spa was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The dining experiences were phenomenal. The staff at Beef & Reef and Morimoto even sang happy birthday to my sister, which made the moments extra special. Housekeeping, Hamza and Ibrahim, ensured our room was always spotless and comfortable, and Mohammed from security was always kind and pleasant. A big thank you as well to Fatima Zahra, the duty manager, who clearly leads an exceptional team. It’s the people who truly make this place special. You can tell everyone works with genuine care and love. If you’re considering staying at the Fairmont, don’t think twice. Just book. Food: 10/10 Accommodation: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Zero complaints.
Isolated, poorly managed, overpriced hotel
2.0Positives: Generally good weather, nice beach Negatives: Location-apart from a few other hotels and a poorly maintained golf course you are isolated, about 30 minutes to Agadir, about 45 minutes to the airport Dining-New York/ London prices but poor service and food, very disappointing. Alternative is to take a 30 minute taxi ride into Agadir, wish we had stayed in Agadir itself. Service-Lots of nice people but poorly trained and managed, despite lots of 'managers' hovering (but not helping). Senior managers generally invisible and usually 'not available" when there was a problem. There are so many nice locations to visit for some rest and relaxation, regrettably this is not one of them. Maybe in 10 - 20 years.
Just about perfect
10.0The Fairmont is lovely, a Californian feel with Moroccan spice. The SoCal part is the stunning location, the quality of the property, and I’d say some of the Moroccan feel are elements of decor and style, as well as outstanding staff. The service and friendliness is outstanding, nothing is a problem, and I felt genuine warmth from everyone here. Our sea front room was wonderful, great decor, high quality finish, no worn areas, and a very large private balcony with the best views of beach and ocean. We had the most delightful and relaxing break. The pool areas and pools are stunning. Breakfast was included and perfect, the most delightful buffet. I will revue the restaurants separately. A real oasis where the beautiful gardens look and smell wonderful, particularly at the pool where out preferred loungers were between two olive trees for a little shade. The only caveat that wasn’t an issue for us is that Taghazout or Agadir for other dining choices etc are a taxi ride away. Oh, the beach is stunning, on our post breakfast beac walk I liked to joke that I could see Malibu in the distance. Surfers and beautiful beach again are SoCal.
Fantastic all round resort, highly recommend.
10.0We had a fantastic experience at the Fairmont in Taghazout Bay! We stayed for 10 nights in a sea view room. Very relaxing vibe at this resort with great restaurants, superbly attentive staff and great facilities. In particular, the housekeeping staff and the pool guys were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. We loved a nice long walk along the beach boardwalk after breakfast, followed by an afternoon at the adults pool and then dinner. There is also a great gym with good equipment (this is not made very clear on the website). The four restaurants were all very good indeed and we found them to be resonably priced when compared to UK pricing for similar quality. All in all, a lovely place to go and we will 100% consider returning.
Great hotel, wonderful service, overpriced
8.0It takes about 30-40 mins to drive from the Airport and the hotel is remote from Taghazout. First impressions were good- plush interior and wonderful views of the ocean. We arrived at noon and told the room wasn’t ready. Reception took my mobile number and said we would be called when the room wasn’t ready. After 2 hrs 30 I went to Reception and got the key. A complete waste of a day. The Superior Suite was virtually on the beach and you could hear the waves breaking. It’s a big room with a large double bed easy chair and desk/ chairs. The bathroom also big and luxurious with a separate loo. The room wasn’t ready cleaned promptly every day and also turned down in the afternoon- wonderful service There were 5 restaurants- we ate in 3. The food and service were top notch but the prices were very expensive- compared to restaurants outside the facility. The average cost for Paper Moon (Italian) and Beef and Reef(meat and seafood) was £200 for two of us. The wines, which were average quality, were £55-£85 a bottle. The Tapas Bar was slightly less east £150 for the two of us and in our opinion, the best. Whilst we waited for our room on arrival 2 bottles of local beer cost £18 Breakfast was served in Paper Moon and was really good with a wide choice of dishes. I had the best omelettes I can remember eating. Service again was outstanding We booked an Excursion to Agadir and the cable car, via the Conciege. The cost was £160 for the two of us which I thought was overpriced. Indeed if I had booked through TripAdvisor the cost would have been £58. Having said that, it was exclusive to us with a driver and guide who were brilliant. Finally despite the overprint the service we received was outstanding. I have never seen so many staff
Lovely resort, would come back again
8.0We've stayed for 5 nights in an ocean view room at Fairmont. The resort looks lovely, well configured and clean. Service is excellent, breakfast and restaurants are very good (we've tried all except for the Italian restaurant). Our room was spacious and had the most wonderful ocean view. The room had an iron and ironing board, which is a major plus for us. Bathroom was spacious with a bath and a separate shower, dressing gowns, hair dryer and toiletries. The only criticism I have is re the sliding doors between the bedroom and bathroom. They're quite heavy and slide fast, so not if you are not careful you can easily crack your fingers. Beach bar is fantastic, service was great, including a sunglass cleaning service. Beach is kept very clean there. We liked the adult pool and the swim up bar so much, we never even made it to the main pool. Location is a bit far from Agadir, but we walked to Taghazout in an hour on the ocean side walkway, which is nicely done and lit up at night. There are several beach bars and restaurants on the way, in case you want to eat outside the resort. I would give the resort 4.5 stars, and the only reason I'm not giving 5 is the spa. It's currently being refurbished, so there was no hammam and the steam rooms were not working. I would definitely return in the future.
