Well-run, friendly hotel in beautifully restored historic building in excellent location
10.0The former arsenal has been beautifully restored/updated and the combination of contemporary design and original details (the brickwork, striking beams etc) works really well. The ground floor of the hotel was a relaxing and inviting space for drinks/snacks and there is also a large sheltered courtyard. Our bedroom was attractive and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We ate in the bar area on our second night; the food (snacks and light dishes only) was good and reasonably priced. There was a varied breakfast buffet. The quiet location is very convenient for key sites/museums.
− Nothing really, although possibly there is scope to further improve the breakfast buffet - however the variety was fine, and some elements were very good.
