A beautiful and quiet place for recharging

A short preface: I really loved it here and definitely coming back. 1) the most amazing feature is its location and the suites. it's basically on top of the mountain and whoever did the landscape design for this resort is genius: it's covered by pines, juniper and all kinds of fragrant bushes, so the first thing you experience is the deep forest smell and sound of crickets. All around the buildings lie the fields of their huge and beautiful golf park 2) Suites are spacious and comfortable, with very convenient settings of ACs, lights, bathrooms etc. One of the beautiful features is pillow sets - each bedroom had 5 pillows of totally different kinds: memory foam, fiberfill, microbead etc. my ever-stiff neck appreciated this a lot. Mattresses unfortunately were less so comfortable - you could feel the spot where the other ppl slept for years before you 3) its very quiet there throughout the day and even during late hours we didn't hear anything from the bar (even though it was quite loud directly around the bar). This was the most important part for me - I needed the sound rest 4) Spa facilities are very beautiful- the pool with the mountain view is especially worth mentioning. Working hours are very convenient too, it's nice that they don't close at 7 PM like in most places 5) you can stay there with a pet! Not in every suite though, but still. This was our key reason of selecting this resort actually. 6) there are bicycles to rent and a hike trail nearby - in case you wish to keep it within the area but want to explore more than the pool and SPA

− However beautiful landscapes were, there is one downside to consider: half of the suites are located right in front of the road and nothing really blocks loud vehicle sounds on that side of the suite (I slept on the other side, so I was fine) Restaurants also brought a bit of disillusion. Even though all 3 places are fantastically designed, there was an unpleasant nuance in each of them: 1) breakfast&lunch place - the Clubhouse - is beautiful and staff is very considerate. Lunch was delicious and prices are somewhat expected for the place. After that, breakfast was a sour note - even though variety is quite decent, the quality was much less so: even at the earliest hours the hot food in buffet was often overcooked and stale. And coffee was another downside (but that seems to be the trait of most hotels) 2) Bar - also beautifully done, and food is very good. however, all non-alcohol drinks we tried tasted off - it's a weird thing to call a 'fresh mango lemonade' something that tastes like soda with a shot of bubblegum syrup (other mocktails gave the same impression). But perhaps their best foot is in alcoholic drinks after all 3) Dinner restaurant was the last we've tried out and it surprised us the most. the menu itself was more than worthy of the place, but the price/value ratio was somewhat unexpected. You'd expect a 120$ steak to include a side and a sauce and also be done precisely to order, but you'd be mistaken (although the quality of the meat itself - even though overcooked - was superb). And charging extra for the bread basket (of 2 pieces), which is generally a welcome couvert across Cyprus, was also a weird note - you'd think they might have just added its price to main dishes rather than charging it separately. It gave a bit stingy feeling, which contrasts with overall luxurious aesthetics of the place

We stayed at Minthis in one of the villas with our extended family and our dog, and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The villa was huge, incredibly bright and spacious, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. It was perfect for a large family stay and felt very comfortable from the very first moment. The views are truly breathtaking and the whole setting is incredibly peaceful and beautiful. We also really enjoyed the golf course, the spa was excellent, and the food throughout our stay was consistently very good. Overall, everything was fantastic. Minthis is a beautiful place for a relaxing family getaway, and we would absolutely love to come back.
