10.0We really enjoyed staying at Casa Swell. It has a wonderful vibe in a semi-rustic setting. There are a limited number of rooms around a lovely pool. Beside the pool is an ample shared area, no walls but under a roof, including a large shared kitchen. They do not offer meals except for breakfast but each room is assigned space in a fridge/freezer and a cupboard in the kitchen. It is well-equipped for cooking. Everyone from "J" (the owner) and his family to other guests were friendly. He came to pick us up from the center of Coronado rather than have us bother with a taxi. Coronado is a small town and Casa Swell was able to hook us up with good information on places to eat, realtors to use, and other tricks of life there. We liked it so much that when we decided to reduce our time elsewhere to focus on Coronado, I just called J and said, "Block a room!" It is not elegant or fancy, but if you want a small oasis to relax amid "friends", Casa Swell is an excellent option.
