The owner communicated early and often to make sure we were good upon arrival. The house is beautiful and well appointed. The rooms are upstairs but the butler Kimo will bring up your luggage. The room was spacious and bathroom had everything needed - even 2 robes!! Breakfast was amazing - home cooked and very filling. I'm a vegetarian and he accommodated me easily. Would stay there again.

Our stay here at Villa DeWolff was absolutely amazing. From being greeted at the door by our host and the butler , to the beautiful room and suite to the historic b&b to the wonderful breakfast . Everything was 5 star service ! The owner , Jethro is the perfect host and historian of the mansion and magnificent history of it hometown of Jacksonville, IL. We are already planning for our next trip home to see my family there , and we will be staying here.

The owner, Jethro DeWolfe, met us and showed us all the rooms in this pre-Civil War era mansion and gave us quite a tour and explained much of the home’s restoration, contents and history. Great place.

What a truly beautiful place for a quick getaway. The owner went out of his way to ensure that we felt at home and welcomed. In addition to the ambiance of setting, the owner prepared a delicious breakfast of blueberry pancakes, bacon and fruit. We couldn’t ask for a better stay and we will make sure that we stay again during our next trip to Chicago ❤️

This property was a very enjoyable experience. The owner and staff are very friendly & personable. The breakfasts are fabulous cooked by the owner and served by the valet Kimo. Highly recommend this facility as a Bed & Breakfast. Be aware there are stairs to climb.
